1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service set out the rules that apply when you use the website of AMEL EDUCATION, LLC or take part in the learning programs offered by the company. By enrolling in a program, by visiting the schoolroom office or by using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or enroll in a program.
Where a program is arranged for a learner who is a minor, the person who signs the enrollment record confirms that they are the learner guardian or are otherwise authorized to agree to these terms on the learner behalf. That person is responsible for ensuring that the learner understands the relevant rules.
2. About the Company
AMEL EDUCATION, LLC is a computer integrated learning practice based in Chicago. The company operates from the schoolroom office at 536 E 95th St, Chicago - 60619-7451, United States (US). The company can be reached by email at liaison@ameleducation.org and by phone at +14425665265.
References to the company, we or us in these terms mean AMEL EDUCATION, LLC. References to you mean the adult who enrolls in a program, the guardian of a learner or any person who uses the website.
3. The Services We Provide
The company provides six connected program stations. Lesson Sheet Bays supply focused practice pages for a named skill. Study Plan Runs place those pages on a written calendar. Family Note Desks turn feedback into short written notes for the household. Reading Circle Windows host timed group reading sessions. Progress Review Rounds compare finished work against the plan. Enroll Sittings introduce the programs and complete the enrollment record.
The scope of each engagement is described at the enroll sitting and confirmed in the enrollment record. We may adjust the details of a program to suit a learner, but we will not add a charge or a new obligation without explaining it to the family first. Descriptions on the website are for general guidance and do not create a separate contract.
4. Eligibility and Enrollment
Programs are open to learners of many ages, provided that a guardian enrolls a minor learner and takes part in the process. The company may decline an enrollment when the requested work lies outside the practice or when the schoolroom cannot provide a safe and appropriate setting. We will explain the reason for a decision.
An enrollment takes effect when the record is signed and any initial fee is received. The record lists the chosen stations, the schedule and the contact details used for family notes. Families should check those details before signing and should tell the office promptly if anything changes.
5. Enrollment Sittings
An enrollment sitting is the first formal meeting. We review the learner history, explain how the stations work and prepare a draft plan. Families are encouraged to take the documents home and read them carefully. A sitting does not commit the family to enrollment, and it does not commit the company to accept every request.
If a family needs to move a sitting, we ask for notice as early as possible so that the slot can be offered to another household. Repeated missed sittings without notice may lead us to pause new bookings from that family until a conversation takes place.
6. Family Obligations
Families agree to provide accurate information about the learner, to protect the planned study time and to return completed lesson sheets before each progress review round. Families also agree to tell the office promptly when a schedule changes, when contact details change or when a learner needs a pause.
The written plan is a shared commitment. When a family cannot protect the planned time, the plan should be revised rather than quietly abandoned. Our team will help with the revision, and the family note desk will record the change so that everyone works from the same picture.
7. Learner Conduct
Learners are expected to take part in good faith. That means arriving ready to work, treating staff and other learners with respect and using the schoolroom materials carefully. Reading circle windows are shared spaces, and every participant is entitled to speak without interruption.
Behaviour that puts another person at risk or that repeatedly disrupts a program may lead to a conversation with the guardian. In serious cases the company may suspend a learner from a station. Any decision of this kind will be explained in writing, and the family will have a chance to respond.
8. Scheduling and Attendance
Session times are confirmed in the enrollment record. Reading circle windows and progress review rounds are scheduled in advance, and families receive the dates in a study plan run. We ask for at least one working day of notice when a session must be moved.
Missed sessions may be rescheduled when notice is given in time and when the calendar allows. Sessions missed without notice may be recorded as used, because the time was reserved for the learner. We will always try to offer an alternative when a genuine emergency arises.
9. Fees and Payment
Fees are set out in the enrollment record and are confirmed before any work begins. The fee reflects the number of stations, the length of the study plan run and the amount of review required. We do not add hidden charges, and any change to a fee is explained in writing before it takes effect.
Payment methods are agreed at the enrollment sitting. Where an invoice is issued, payment is due by the date shown on the invoice. If a family expects a delay, please contact the office so that a suitable arrangement can be made. Overdue amounts may pause a program until the account is settled.
10. Cancellation and Refunds
A family may cancel an enrollment by writing to the office. Where cancellation happens before the first lesson sheet bay is prepared, any fee already paid is refunded in full. Where cancellation happens after the work has begun, the refund is calculated from the amount of the program that has been delivered.
Program materials that have already been handed to the family remain with the family, and the corresponding value is not refunded. If the company cancels a program for its own reasons, the family receives a refund for the undelivered part. Refunds are normally issued by the original payment method.
11. Program Materials and Ownership
Lesson sheets, study plans, family notes and review summaries are prepared for the enrolled household. The family may keep and use the materials for the learner own study, including after the program ends. The underlying templates, layout methods and working notes remain the property of the company.
Families may not resell program materials, publish them as their own or use them to run a competing service without written permission. A family is welcome to photocopy a lesson sheet for a second learner in the same household. Requests to share materials more widely should be sent to the office.
12. Website Use
The website provides information about the practice and a way to contact the office. We grant visitors a limited right to view the pages for personal use. The design, text and arrangement of the site are protected by law, and visitors may not copy substantial parts for commercial use without permission.
We try to keep the website available, but we do not promise that it will always be online or free from errors. The contact form prepares a message in the visitor own email application, and a visitor should not rely on the form alone for urgent matters. A phone call to +14425665265 is the most direct way to reach the team.
13. Prohibited Activities
Visitors and families may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, interfere with its normal operation or introduce harmful code. They may not use the website to send spam, to harass another person or to collect information about others without consent.
Learners and guardians may not misrepresent their identity during enrollment, submit forged documents or use the program to cause harm to another person. The company may take reasonable steps to prevent prohibited activity, including suspending access to the website or pausing a program while a concern is examined.
14. Third Party Content and Links
The website may link to services or resources run by other organizations. Those links are offered as a convenience and do not imply control over the other site. The company is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of a linked site, and visitors use such sites at their own discretion.
Where a family asks the company to prepare a short report for a school or community program, the family is responsible for confirming the address and the recipient. The company will send the report as instructed but does not control what the recipient does with it afterward.
15. Privacy and Records
Personal information is handled as described in the company Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Families should read that policy to understand what is collected, how long it is kept and how requests can be made. The policy is available on the website and a copy can be posted on request.
The company keeps a working record of enrollment, lesson sheets and review summaries so that a program remains coherent. Records are kept secure and are shared only as described in the Privacy Policy. Families may ask for a copy of their own records at any reasonable time.
16. Disclaimers
The company provides educational planning and study support. It does not provide legal, medical or psychological advice, and it does not promise a particular grade, score or admission outcome. Learning depends on the learner effort, the family support and factors outside anyone control, and results will vary from household to household.
The website and program materials are provided as they are. To the extent permitted by law, the company disclaims implied warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms. Nothing in this section limits a right that cannot lawfully be limited.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the company is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of the website or the programs. This includes lost opportunity and loss of anticipated benefit. The company total liability for a claim connected to a program is limited to the fee paid for the part of the program to which the claim relates.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for injury caused by negligence where the law does not allow such a limit, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a jurisdiction does not permit a particular limit, that limit applies only to the extent that the jurisdiction allows.
18. Indemnity
A family agrees to cover the company against reasonable losses that arise from the family breach of these terms, from misuse of program materials or from a claim that the family unlawfully shared company materials. This obligation does not apply where the loss is caused by the company own conduct.
If a claim of this kind is brought, the company will notify the family promptly and will cooperate in the response. The family may take part in the defense with counsel of its choosing, provided that the company retains control of its own position.
19. Suspension and Termination
The company may suspend or end a program when a family seriously breaches these terms, when a learner poses a risk to others or when a legal requirement makes continuation impossible. Except in urgent cases, the company will give written notice and a chance to respond before a suspension becomes final.
A family may end a program at any time by written notice. Where a program ends early, the refund rules in the earlier section apply. Work that has already been completed remains with the family, and the review summary will be provided so that the record is complete.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and the applicable laws of the United States. If a disagreement arises, the parties will first try to resolve it through a direct conversation. A written notice describing the concern should be sent to the office address so that the matter can be reviewed.
If a direct conversation does not resolve the matter, the parties may use mediation before filing a formal claim. Any formal claim will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Chicago, Illinois, unless the law requires a different forum. This section does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief where necessary.
21. Changes to These Terms
The company may update these terms when the programs change or when the law requires it. The date at the top of the page shows when the current version was prepared. A significant change will be announced on the website and, where appropriate, explained to active families.
Continuing to use the website or a program after an update means that the updated terms apply. If a family disagrees with a change, the family may contact the office to discuss the effect and, where appropriate, end the program under the cancellation rules.
22. General Provisions
If a part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect. These terms together with the enrollment record and the Privacy Policy form the full agreement between the family and the company and replace any earlier discussion on the same subject.
A failure by the company to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later. The family may not transfer rights under these terms without written permission, while the company may transfer its rights as part of a reorganization. Headings are for convenience and do not affect meaning.
23. Contact Information
Questions about these terms are welcome. Write to AMEL EDUCATION, LLC, 536 E 95th St, Chicago - 60619-7451, United States (US), send an email to liaison@ameleducation.org or call +14425665265 during business hours. The office will do its best to answer clearly and promptly.
Community Standards and Expected Conduct
Every learner, guardian and partner who joins a program agrees to keep the shared learning space respectful and productive. Disruption of live sessions, harassment of instructors or classmates, and attempts to access the account of another person are grounds for suspension. Repeated violations end the enrollment without refund of the affected term. The team investigates every report fairly and in private, and decisions are explained in writing so families understand what happened and what happens next.
Governing Law and Updates to These Terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to conflict of law rules. If any clause is found unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in full force. AMEL EDUCATION, LLC may update these terms when programs, prices or laws change, and the current version always lives on this page with its revision date. Material changes are announced by email at least fourteen days before they take effect, and continued use of the services after that date means the updated terms are accepted.
